On Constraints
Why I've stopped thinking of limitations as problems to solve.
This is a placeholder post. Replace with real writing.
The best briefs I’ve worked on had real constraints. Budget ceilings, tight timelines, weird technical requirements that seem arbitrary until you understand the business context.
For a long time I saw these as things to negotiate around. Now I see them as the brief itself.
Constraints don’t limit the work. They define what the work is trying to do.
